I needed a case for three pairs of glasses, a large wallet and a cell phone along with other small items that are usually found in women's handbags. It's big enough to fit everything, but it's relatively easy to find something. I don't use a shoulder strap, but I've found that I can carry it in my hand along with the short handle by tightening the drawstring. It keeps the bag closed and is very comfortable. I think this is a very attractive bag!
