Review on Ultra-Thin Battery Powered LED Cabinet Lights: SOAIY Touch Sensor Lights for Bedroom, Kitchen, Closet, Stairs, Bar - Pack of 3 by Lawrence Allison

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Five star product but lacks adequate assembly instructions

I wanted to install low light night lights in two windowless bathrooms so we don't have to turn on the lights when we wake up at night to use the bathroom . There was nowhere to put plug-ins, and motion sensors during the day would have been inconvenient. These slim, battery operated, dimmable night lights are perfect for this purpose. I use the third lamp as an emergency light for a dressing room where the light fixture needs to be adjusted about every 6 months. Assuming the batteries will last if not used for 6 months these lights should work fine for that too. My only criticism of the assembly instructions is that there aren't any and the diagrams on the outside of the box tell you nothing. How to remove the back cover to insert 3 AAA batteries. I had to go back to the reviews and product page to figure out how to do it and even then it wasn't easy. (I ended up turning the job over to my husband, who eventually opened it, but also almost gave up.) Tip: The back cover (battery) snaps in place with 3 latches on the front (you can see the 3 slots on the back). So if you turn the back slightly to the right, you open the lid. Once you've removed it (you will eventually) and put the batteries in, don't twist it all the way to lock it tight, which isn't necessary: it stays fine once you've installed it. Use a magnet or the included 3M double-sided tape so it only stays half engaged for easy twisting and removing the front panel when you need to change batteries.

Pros
  • Convenient to use
Cons
  • Requires outlet
