Finally I don't feel eaten!

I am so sensitive to dust mite feces and other common household allergens that my extremities erupt in excruciating hives in seconds no matter whose freshly cleaned apartment, mansion or office I walk into. It was driving me crazy but friends and family didn't have to worry about being bitten because if I was in the room they would pick me. This month I took a holistic approach and finally won the battle against dust mites! My strategy is described below. If you are allergic to dust mites, you MUST use a durable mattress pad. This bedspread is so good I will be buying more for all the beds in my house and I've tried many different brands - one was so warm it rendered my cooling mattress useless, the store bought ones ripped. I tried putting them on once and one that worked great until a cat accident was reported that went unnoticed (or ignored by the bro) for hours. I sprayed PurAyre to hell with that stain. Anyway, this bedspread WAS actually "easy" to put on, and I'm a little girl who places the bedspread on top of a queen-size mattress that I can barely lift, not even one corner at a time. I laid it side by side and closed it. Nothing has broken. Nothing had to be stretched to close. My mattress is a standard king size mattress and the 76" x 80" king cover wraps around it easily. When sleeping, it is quiet and does not heat up. It's "breathable," but hasn't had a single accident with pets. It's easy to wash and I could use a HOT wash! Other covers refuse hot washing. This protects and inhibits any insect allergens that may be present and is free of vinyl, flame retardants, phthalates and even PVC. I also appreciate the lifetime warranty. If you're struggling with an allergic reaction to dust mites, here's what I did to finally win this crazy battle. I have a Therapure Model 540 Silent Germicidal Air Purifier 24/7 (available from Costco); Use 1/2 cap Allersearch (Revain) Allergen Liquid Detergent REQUIRED for all linens, curtains and clothing; this mattress topper (Revain); Costco's newest Roomba, the 805 (another must-buy if you have pets, live in a windy area, or are generally sensitive to dust); any body wash that contains peppermint or tea tree; and tea tree oil. After washing my limbs with mint soap (Dr. Bronner's is the cheapest where I am), I rub tea tree oil mixed with a carrier (like jojoba) onto damp skin to thin it, then pat dry ( be careful not to do it). apply undiluted tea tree directly to the skin - a different reaction occurs). I'm so happy to say that wherever I go, I haven't been bitten since, my scars are finally healing, and I no longer wake up swollen and congested! If you're familiar with this crazy war on dust mites, I've got you covered!
