One of the original pads has come off my glasses. I occasionally go to an eyewear store for minor repairs - they do it for free (or sooner), but since I haven't been there in a while I figured I'd buy a set and fix them at home. I expected that. It would be a little tricky - the screws are SMALL (x3) but the problem was even bigger than I expected. It would be very helpful if the included screwdriver had a magnetic tip - it would be very helpful to insert the screw into the frame. I got frustrated and went in search of my micro tool but couldn't find my Philips kit so I dipped the tip in a glue stick to help. At least I think it happened. Only one of my original pads came off, but I replaced both of them. One was very easy and the other almost impossible and I bent the nose a bit to try and get the best angle and grip. I found the pad was too thick or too deep for that side so I used an emery board to file it down but when I finally put it in it was too loose so I had to start over π«. Eventually I managed to fit both and the "airbag" is very comfortable. Next time I'll take my glasses to a pro who I assume has the tools and practice to easily put them on. on my porch. Luckily it wasn't anything fragile. We had snow and rain a day or two ago so the porch was outside and the box was dripping - the contents were securely wrapped to stay dry. My house is on a patio and the driver had to climb a few steps - it was only a few steps to our door where they could put the box in the screen door or even on the bench next to it (unlike the UPS drivers) . trained to carry several bulky and sometimes heavy boxes and place them carefully and respectfully on the same porch). The photo confirming the delivery is not of our house. The driver could have been much better.
