As others have said the cable is not very flexible but that is to be expected with the extra shielding on these cables. Tested transfers to and from a 10Gb/s Type-C port on my laptop to a 10Gb/s SSD enclosure. Of course there are only 6 spans in the sata interface but I've seen the highest transfer rates ever with this cable and another 10Gbps cable. I got 567MB/s read and about 540MB/s write with a 250GB Samsung 850 PRO in a 10Gb/s case. The funny thing is, even with a direct connection to the motherboard, I've never seen read speeds go over 550MB/s. Compare this cable to the high quality 5Gb/s cable on my other Sabrent SATA to USB 3 adapter and it peaked at around 440MB/s. I transfer tons of data at work, so I need quality cables to keep up with the speed. Out of curiosity I used the docking station to convert it back to a 5Gbps USBA port and indeed the speed dropped significantly. I wish I had NVME for my handheld so I could actually test it, but so far it outperforms every other cable I've used!
