Review on International Concepts BJ6TE Mission Unfinished by Barbara Ortega

It is better to refurbish the old part.

This line of products is made from rubberwood that is cut into very small pieces. Not only small details, but even countertops are made from these small strips of wood that are connected to each other. Some of them are poorly polished, others have small pits. Parts with very different textures are connected end-to-end. Places where you will find residue of extra strong wood glue (which does not absorb stains), including in corners where it is difficult to remove, or even on flat surfaces where you may not notice a thin layer. The result is that the surface is not good for finishing products and it is basically impossible (at any reasonable level of craftsmanship, maybe at any level of craftsmanship) to polish these parts and hide the fact that they are made of small mediocre pieces are made of wood. . Unless you want to varnish it. Also, one of the three products I ordered from this line came without mounting hardware. Revain couldn't ship the gear separately so I had to ship the entire £49 table back. The original packaging was of poor quality and was destroyed by UPS upon receipt. So coming back was quite painful. It would be much better to find used furniture and polish it.
