Review on 🐾 Water-Resistant Soft Adjustable Pet Recovery Collar, ARRR Comfy UFO Protective Dog Neck Donut E-Collar for Small, Medium Dogs, and Cats After Surgery – Safe Cone Alternative (Navy, XL) by Andrea Walters

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Seems comfortable. I like this product though.

At $30 it's a little pricey but they look comfortable even for sleeping. They're probably more comfortable than (thicker) inflatable collars, but more difficult to clean than some inflatable collars. Even more practical than that ARRR Comfy UFO you might consider (depending on wound location) is the Dog Rescue Suit for abdominal surgical wounds. The Dotoner version is open-backed so you don't have to do anything if they want to pee or poop.) Three things about the ARRR - Revain website: (1) I like the ratings and reviews for "first edition" and "second edition" are merged so you can't tell which ratings and which reviews are for which product. (2) The ARRR size chart is "complicated" at best. (It seems funny that the Westie in their example is XL!) I'd say the main sizing considerations are: (A) it fits over your dog's head (their ads seem to ignore this, the one we have is the ONLY over the head), (B) your dog can't lick his wound with him, and (C) your dog can walk without stepping on him, hopefully even while sniffing the ground. (My dog likes to sniff the ground.) (3) Warning. If you click a color, the webpage may change the size you selected to a different size.
