Scrub Gel removes the dead skin on the upper part of the face and within seconds there is actually a change in texture that you can see and feel. I know what you're thinking, "What an abomination" BUT what's more disgusting: feeling/seeing your skin being rid of dead skin and having a smoother/lighter complexion, OR just having the dead skin in place and leave my job?! My skin looks and feels so soft and smooth. I use it every other day or every third day and have had no problems with a bad reaction.
