Fits as expected. This brand runs a bit wide which is why I bought it. The reinforced toe box is ideal for novices and children whose activity levels far exceed their ability to avoid hard objects. The ankles are wide enough that I don't have to put little feet in them much, but they also don't dangle when tightened. I have an older pair in a smaller size and they have held up well. The sole is quite grippy, but not very soft. That's good because they don't wear out quickly, but be aware that they can be slippery on hard, wet surfaces. Perfect fit for everyday use.
