Not sure I would recommend this to anyone. While it definitely works as a base coat, it's nothing more than that. Obviously, it doesn't fare well in areas like security and fingerprint protection. You can definitely see it's on the bottom of the MacBook lid right out of the box. There's something I like. Although it's black, it's transparent enough to see the Apple logo through the lid, but that could be further evidence of a lack of protection. First of all compensates for the complexity of the installation. If you look very closely at the second image, you'll see that the bottom isn't exactly snug and obviously doesn't fully cover the left side of the laptop. If you need protection or a seamless fit, maybe look elsewhere. There's a great drop re-distribution option, and they're Apple certified for a perfect fit. Of course, these options cost a lot more. I needed a case that would prevent just minor scratches and chips when I take it out of my work bag. For me it serves its purpose at an affordable price. I'm sure I'll keep looking and maybe even look for an option for the price, but it works and I'm still using it as we speak. Final Verdict: If you're a "safe" user who doesn't worry about drops, this will work for you. If you are looking for protection and something more professional I would suggest looking elsewhere.
