Who said you can't listen to music while swimming?

I swim 4-5 days a week. Boy let me tell you this is BORING! The problem with poor quality (read: CHEAP) headphones is that they sound TERRIBLE. Reproducing good sound quality UNDER WATER is already a challenge as these X-1 headphones were somehow able to reproduce clear highs, rich mids and powerful bass. The real plus of these headphones are the ear tips in different sizes. If you have fairly large holes in your ear, the cheap ones will leak water and break the seal, often ruining the sound. However, the fairly large and huge XL buds provided by this X-1 make for a GREAT seal. The material used in the headphones is very flexible and of high quality. The wetter the better the seal. The downside, however, is that the earbuds can sometimes get stuck when you remove the earbuds from your ear, and it can be difficult to remove and reattach them to the headphones. The cables are not as thin as the cheap ones. I suggest you wrap them around your ear. Most of the issues I've had with earbuds coming loose while swimming are due to the movement of the cords leading to the earbuds. Sometimes repeated tugging would cause them to weaken and eventually fall out. I suggest you wrap the cords going to the headphones around the ear, you can levitate as much as you want and they shouldn't come loose. As for cleaning, I usually rinse and shake off the water. Sometimes they get stuck in the buds. You do not want that. Overall these headphones sound good, fit comfortably and are solidly built. Give them a try and skip the cheap ones.
