For the price this is a decent headset. for Xbox, Playstation, Switch or even your laptop. To be honest the Xbox mic was rubbish. I've used them for PC gaming and they're terrible. I've had a pair of Logitech G430's for 7 YEARS (released about 8 years ago) and I can safely say that my 8 year old headset had the best mic quality. The audio quality on the Hyper X was blurry, I couldn't tell where the enemies were coming from, I couldn't use directional audio to locate gunfire or anything! The mic made me sound like I was speaking through a static tube. I was very disappointed because this G430 "upgrade" cost twice as much! The cost of the G430 is $60. I've tried pretending they're better, but stay away if you plan to use them for PC gaming. 7.1 surround sound is a false claim, a much better option in my opinion. I am currently using the Beyerdynamic 880 as headphones with amplifier and snowball microphone and, to be honest, I am very satisfied. I would suggest investing in a good setup and spending the extra money.
