Review on 2-Tier Stainless Steel Microwave Stand, Multifunctional Countertop Shelf for Microwave Ovens, Fine Mesh Silver Kitchen Organizer – SITAKE by Karen Washington

A little flimsy but works

The stand works and barely fits in my microwave which claims to be a medium sized microwave! Installation is a little tricky as it requires a bit of bending where the pieces don't look quite right. But it fits, even if it looks a bit wobbly. Box opened and all parts removed. Two trays, 4 plastic tips, 4 long legs and 4 short legs. Easy enough. Two long legs into a plastic end, then into one end of the shelf. This is where difficulty comes into play. The tips don't look like they'll fit on a shelf, but you'll need to use some force as they don't want them to slide out again. Those with weak arms or hands may need assistance. Do the same with the other side of the shelf (a plastic spike and two long legs). This is one level done. Now repeat the same with the other shelf but use 4 short legs. Now insert 4 short legs into the vertical parts of the plastic pieces, and voila, the shelf. The problem with the shelf is that it looks flimsy and is designed for condiments, small sauce jars and other lightweight items, not jars or heavier items. I tried putting a small deep fryer on it and while it held up well, trying to open the basket resulted in a slight wobble. This really requires some sort of support on the long legs as they look like they are spaced all over and not straight. Again, don't put anything heavy on it. He doesn't like lateral movements. All in all you get what you pay for. That's half the cost of the other racks because it's half the strength. Maybe you've had enough, maybe not. Just beware of its limitations.

Pros
  • Kitchen storage and organization accessory
Cons
  • Almost OK
