Actual parts were in good condition with no scratches or defects. They were covered in foam that had to be vacuumed before assembly. Everything was easy to put together, but I had trouble trying to tighten the screws holding the shelf in place. You wouldn't stay "locked up," and with the slightest tug or movement, as if you were about to pick up a table and move it a few inches, one of the bolts under the shelf would fall to the floor. , making the device more unstable. My husband and I checked every part of the assembly and made sure everything was done correctly and completely. Eventually he got out some type of epoxy and poured it into the holes where we were having problems with screws falling out and that solved the problem. The day before I received this table I received and assembled another same round table (from a different manufacturer) and it came with identical mounting hardware and we had no issues so I felt this unit wasn't that good. Looks wise, I'm very pleased, but it was a bit of a hassle to put everything together and fix what was wrong.
