I like that the door opens all the way, almost 180 degrees to the side. Some other waterproof covers cannot be fully opened. Also, the plastic lid is very, very transparent, which I like, acrylic rather than plastic. I like it when it's open, I can see through the plastic door, no tint, I can see what's underneath, in my case I have buttons that I need to see. In addition, there is a soft cover to which the transparent plastic is waterproof when closed. You will need to cut a slightly larger hole in the dash, the radio will be installed through this block. BUT, the hole isn't much bigger than a standard DIN radio, maybe 1/8 inch. Some radio covers, where the cover disappears when folded over the radio, require a much larger opening. PICTURES SHOW ONLY IT IN SITU, IT IS NOT INSTALLED YET, just being held in place to see how it will look. I love how it looks! After installation, it moves back about 1/4 inch and is more flush. The white DIN frame on my radio was also loosened so it doesn't stick out. but you get it I'll try to post a picture once it's fully installed.
