They true to size and are comfortable - the insole feels like a thin layer of memory foam, the tongue conforms to the shoe without bulk, the ankle is shaped and padded, and the base/ Sole material has some advantages. However, these are not the shoes I would take for my kids to play outside as they don't have as much grip as I would like. Even after three weeks of infrequent wear, the decorative blue stripe began to wear out. The fact that they are comfortable and light for my son still gives them four stars.
