How to install a dead pedal. Pull on the right side of the old pedal. You don't have to be gentle. Insert the lever until it stops and gradually pry it out. The pedal should now be released but held in place by the left skid plate and clip under the dashboard above. Now pry from the bottom edge of the skid plate and pull to the right and flex the kick bar as much as you can while pulling the dead pedal to the right. You won't break anything. Once the pedal is free, it is still connected to the dash clip. Simply push the pedal all the way up and forward to disengage from the clamp. A good quality post-market product that qualifies as a true OEM version and has some weight.
