I was attracted to this generic ink replacement for my new Brother printer because of the "new and improved chip". After I installed all 4 inks, the ink display showed the ink levels, but with a huge "?" at the top of the display. At first it was a mystery to me. After a few weeks of use I could see the ink levels dropping, different values for different ink levels, as expected. "?" was still there, but I believe the ink levels are showing correctly. So --- I bought another set and am very happy with this product. I keep ordering this quality product at a competitive price. Updated 5/4/21.
