We have these to replace the dining chairs in our camper van. The size is great and I like the dice because they are bigger than regular dice. I know they're not made for that purpose, but they're meant for sitting, so I figured they'd hold up a little better. We use them every day so they're starting to freak out a little. Also, the ends are very sharp, so if you sit close to the end it's no fun and the corner can scratch you pretty easily. The pads are very thin so I think we will make longer ones to cover the ends but they are very easy to clean. They get very dirty and very dirty from the kids' food, but I just wash them in the sink at dawn and they're completely rinsed out. I'm sure you could throw them in the washing machine but we don't have one so the sink is cheaper than the laundry mat.
