I used it for 3 weeks before returning it for a full refund with no problems. I'm an active runner and have used it 5-6 times a week on morning runs for 3 weeks (4-5 runs a week for 30-40 minutes and 1 run a week for 2+ hours). Yes, the light was bright at first. But it's not a bright spot. the light spread far and wide at once. When I first used it, I immediately realized that this light was for being seen, NOT for seeing the road 20 feet ahead. It may have been glowing 7-10 feet from me. But I was fine with it. I'm a city runner, so I don't run in total darkness. However, they advertise it as if you can see far ahead, so that's confusing to me and I don't like it. In the first week I went for a long run with him and he easily lasted 2 hours. But by week 2 I noticed the light started to dim after only 1 hour of use. At first I thought I was making it up. But on my second long run I noticed that after 1 hour the lights went out completely. I used it well into the 3rd week and even during my 30-40 minute runs I noticed the light fading. That's when I realized it wasn't going to get any better. To make sure you get your money back I send it back after 3 weeks of use. Another thing I noticed is that the magnet is not as strong and beautiful as it seems. It worked decently when I attached it to a strip of thin fabric shorts. He couldn't keep the light in place if the fabric of the shorts was a little thicker (it fell off a couple of times). And it was too heavy to hang on my shirt. It seemed to me like something was always tugging at your shirt and bouncing all over the place. It didn't impress me.
