So far, so good. - Computers and accessories

The keyboard comes rolled up in a neat little cardboard box - which I like because it shows I can transport it that way, even if it means it stays rolled up for several days at a time . It seems small but I guess I don't know what I was expecting. I plan to use this for meetings and travel so the size is actually perfect. Now I use it as my main keyboard to get used to typing. Someone else mentioned that this keyboard isn't for the 'expert typist' I consider myself to be - typical typing speeds are around 105 wpm. . I agree and disagree. Since there is less space to work on the keyboard due to the smaller size, some keys have been moved. Especially the middle rows between the letters and the number pad. (Backspace, directional arrows, page up, page down) You know - this section. So this is causing me a little problem where I'm not looking at the keyboard when my pinky presses "Shift" but presses the up arrow. That kind of stuff. BUT other than that, I feel the keyboard handles my typing speed well. I don't have to press the buttons more than once - I can feel them going down so there's no problem asking if a hit was made - and it's REALLY quiet. Can I type at 105 wpm? Probably not as my hands aren't used to the key layout yet, but the speed I'm typing at is ideal for meetings etc. You don't have to work very fast anyway. All in all a great purchase so far. I also opted for the $1.25 4-year protection plan offered by Revain. I figured out a dollar if this thing breaks - what an easy way to fix it! hp If you're looking for a waterproof keyboard, I'm not sure this is a good option. The package contains a list of warnings including: Do not spill any liquid on the keyboard!
