My wife has been wanting a tableware set for a long time. Having bought our new home last year, I felt like the end of the Christmas season would be the perfect time to treat yourself to a nice dinnerware set. What I found was a set from a reputable brand, the quality of which I believe is close to fine china, which usually costs at least five times what I paid. I was originally looking at another brand/design with a princess lace trim and silver insert, about triple the price. But when I came across a set of Lorren Iris, I was hooked! The Iris collection has a design that is more reminiscent of the Celtic knot/Norse tendril ornament. The combination of cobalt and gold leaf plating gives a lasting shine that not only sets the Iris collection apart from other traditional and contemporary fine cutlery, but also represents an Irish part of our family heritage. The liners aren't as durable as more expensive cookware, so hand washing is a must, although the product is dishwasher safe. Take care of it and be gentle, and I believe that this dish will please you for many years!
