Wanted to use it as an extension cable for a Jabra USB headset but couldn't get it to work with a USB hub nor with a Macbook Pro USB-C port directly . It seems to be just a power cord extension. It's very strong, the cable connector ends and strain reliefs are massive, as is the cable itself, you could probably tow your boat with this cable more efficiently than you can get a data signal through it :(
