I bought this bottle not only to keep my water bottle colder longer while walking, but also to carry it comfortably. I didn't want anything with a shoulder strap or shoulder strap as I share my water with my dog by splashing her water in my arm. Shoulder or cross body bag would be bulky. Also, the fact that I have arthritis in my thumb makes it difficult to carry a bottle without a handle for long periods of time. This carrier is perfect for my needs! The hole on the side strap is large enough for four fingers and can be used as a pen. It doesn't keep the water cold for long, but doesn't let it heat up too quickly either. This holds 23 oz. (I think) after the bottle is easy.
