This cable and mic are perfect for my Xbox One X controller and Sony XM3 headphones. I was on the verge of buying a custom Xbox headset but just spent $350 on the new Sony 1000 XM3 Noise Canceling Headphones because I travel a lot for work. This cable adds a microphone and manual volume control to the headphones. The sound clarity is excellent and the sensitivity and quality of the microphone is surprisingly good (the voice is very clear, I tested the game and listened to recorded messages)! The braided material also prevents the line from getting tangled or knotted. This cable saved me $80-$100 that I wanted to spend on a dedicated headset, now I have the most comfortable, high-quality listening experience ever! I'll be updating the durability and build quality information in a few months to be honest. If I had to replace these a few times a year I wouldn't be upset if the price stayed low. So far the design and construction seems to be quality!
