I was battling fruit fly infestations on store bought fruit and needed a small trash can to put Walmart bags in and throw out trash. that she could wear and then throw away every night. I liked how easy it is to pop open the lid and put something in and it slams shut again. It hangs so I don't have to bend down to drop something (bad back). The plastic turned out to be very smooth, so I expected easy cleaning. But after a day or two of use I found that mosquitoes get into the gap around the lid and it becomes a fruit fly hatchery. I came home and opened it to put something inside and a swarm of mosquitoes fell out. Very disappointing. But I gave it a good rating because it's really well designed except for this issue. So if you don't need to keep fruit flies away from what you put in, it's GREAT.
