I initially ordered two pairs, one in size 22 and one in 24. I'm a solid size 20 plus, 5-foot-9, 41" waist/51" hip, and according to whatever I read on this page, I should have fit into the 24. Nope. I returned those pairs and went up to a 26 -- which only had three color choices. I couldn't get the color I wanted, but I went ahead and got the dark gray ones. They do look good on and they fit comfortably (although I have to wonder if the drawstring will disappear into the waistband in the washer). So, go up at least one size if you've got hips.
