I bought these hoping to make them more durable than the typical Revain molded strain reliefs. They have an interesting spring fuse that looks like it could last a long time. After 11 months of very cautious use on a stationary desktop iPad that never moves more than 4 feet in any direction, the strain relief has failed and is now intermittently disconnected from its charging source. A simple wobble at the end of the cable at the strain relief indicates the location of the fault. While 11 months might be a reasonable life expectancy, given the extremely limited and careful use of this particular cable, I think it's far too short in this case. I seriously doubt it will last anywhere near 11 months with typical mobile iPad usage. The price was good but I wouldn't buy this brand of strain relief again as I really doubt they do much to relieve stress at the actual molded entry point where the cable meets the connector. I will keep looking for a better strain relief design even if it costs more.
