I wanted an alternative bulb for my salt lamp that was cool to the touch and long lasting. These LEDs are dimmable and roughly equivalent to 25W incandescent bulbs. Consumes much less power and is dimmable, they are great for my lamp. I chose 2700K bulbs to soften the light through the salt rocks even though my bulb is covered in rocks. They are slightly taller than a regular incandescent bulb, but the base is the same.
