The LEDs are pretty bright I use it to keep my laptop cool when DJing at hot events. Not only during the day, but also during closed events such as yoga classes. Yes, we use a live DJ. When I first did a tutorial, my early 2015 Macbook Pro was overheating and wouldn't load. I learned my lesson and put it under the laptop and installed a software temperature sensor to control the temperature. I used an external battery as it doesn't take long to power this laptop cooler. I wanted to disconnect anything from the laptop that could cause heating. I was able to become the DJ of a class hovering around 38 degrees Celsius. The laptop stayed at a steady 104F. Last time it got to a pretty high temperature - to the point where I could damage the laptop. I want to remove the LEDs because they are distracting and I don't need lighting. Other than that, it's fairly light and did the job of keeping my laptop cool. I removed the plastic case from my laptop to allow the metal to cool faster as the contact with the laptop cooler allows the metal on the cooler to draw heat away from the metal case of my Macbook Pro. I would recommend this product but would also like to see how long these fans last. The LEDs retract as I speak, so hopefully it won't distract people when I use them.
