I'm quite tall, 6ft 0in and over 300lbs. I chose this chair based on 1) price, 2) seat width, and 3) no support under my arms to rub against my legs. I've been working from home for the past year so I've sat down I've used this chair a lot since I bought it 3 or 4 months ago. Sometimes I wish it had a little more padding on the seat but a seat cushion will solve this problem. I have no problem with being too wide for a chair and my legs don't rub on the armrests. What really surprises me is the strength of the arms as they have no front support. Just before I bought the chair, I had knee surgery, so I'm dealing with a poorly repaired knee and a diseased, unrepaired knee. So when I get up from a chair, I put all my weight on the armrests of the chair to get into a standing position. Given that the front part of the armrests has no support, I was very surprised. stood up that I didn't show any signs of hand failure from the pressure I was putting on her. I think about them every time I get up, but I never feel like they weaken because of my "abuse"!
