This product works as advertised although it does require repeated uses over several days but that is to be expected. Very damaged skin does not heal in a few days. I had very dry, irritated skin in the crease of my thumb due to a combination of 1) winter, 2) foolishly never wearing gloves when cleaning, and 3) having to wash my hands frequently due to my work in the everyday healthcare field. I apply a coat to the irritated area at least once a day, either after a shower or, if I can't remember, after washing my hands. As I recalled, I used twice a day. It took about two weeks, but the area eventually healed. Maybe faster for those who don't have to wash their hands as often at work as I do. This is after months of trying to heal the area with oils, lactic acid moisturizers, uric acid, you name it.
