I was looking for a set of realistic looking large candles with a timer. I didn't like the look of the "Flame" at first. looked cheap. I bought it anyway and was wrong. I placed them in a modern three-point marble candle holder and placed them on the table to dim the light in the room. My husband looked at them and loved the look. I attached some small artificial daisies around the base of the cones. I may have to buy another set to use them elsewhere. The "flickering" flame really looks "real" in low light or across the room. Glad I took the risk!
