Finally got around to vacuum sealing several varieties of dried beans. opened the package and removed only what I needed. Immediately placed the remainder in a pint Ball mason jar and sealed tightly. Three days later went to can more dry beans. The mason jar while tightly sealed, had no vacuum, the 'button' did not pop. opened and the lid came right off. the packets were still pliable but did not activate when left out on the counter. took out two more. they did not get warm after several hours. did not harden. This batch was junk. probably can't get my money back as I purchased them months ago. will have to buy different ones and re-vacuum seal all my jars. Buy a different brand not these.
