This monitor stand is ideal for many other uses. I have a 16.7" version to support a small HDTV in a wallbox by hiding the BluRay drive and MiniBox with the Cox cable underneath. No extra space, no obstructions, no visible wiring, and the lowest price of any alternative I've found - so much easier than building your own out of plywood and a 2x4. I love it so much I took the 21" version into my home recording studio with the 12 channel mixer on top and the power amp on the bottom. Not sexy at all and may not meet your aesthetic requirements for a boner that you see on your office desk all day. But for what I use them for, there's nothing better.
