Didn't look like the picture and didn't work on my machine

This was not working with my Janome 3160 QDC. I accidentally made two needle marks on it because the needle was farther from the hole than it should have been; So I couldn't even get a stitch when I tried twice. Also, there was no "E" on the leg as in the photo; mine had a different label. Maybe that was the problem, but I just got mine back. It's a shame because it looked sturdy and cost very well, but doesn't work specifically with my car model.
