I bought this stand because it's solid stainless steel, not the mysterious chrome metal. (Or plastic) Cons: It's not the best finish in the world. There are ridges in the connection. The bottom part is not finished yet. You can use rubber on the bottom. There are very subtle scratch marks that polishing has not completely removed. It took very little straightening to get the arms perfect. I find this acceptable as stainless steel is a much more expensive material. In general, it looks good if you don't look at it very closely. Pros: It's nice and heavy. Pretty stable. Seems strong enough. It's a good size in the sense that the arms don't hang too far. I also really like the style. Maybe it's just a touch from retro-future to modern. And it doesn't rust, and there's no coating to corrode. In theory, that should be enough for the rest of my life. Worth a few euros more for scrap stands. I am happy.
