I wasn't sure how they would get rid of the smell but thought it might be worth a try based on other reviews. I am very surprised. I put them in two places where we have litter boxes. Whenever the kittens use the pot, you might smell some odor, but the smell doesn't stay at all. When I get up in the morning I don't feel a thing and have to take the lid off the pot to see if there's anything in there! I am very happy with it and will use it in other areas as well.
