This product met my expectations. This allows you to connect a device like a decades-old cassette recorder/VHS player to a modern TV with only HDMI inputs. It's not actually "upconverted" - given the inherent quality of VHS recordings, which require complex processing power and software (there are consumer devices and software that can "digitize" analog VHS tapes so you can use them like a computer). Files or DVD, but it doesn't, and the picture quality of such a converted video is not improved, only digitized)). Picture What you get is very similar to the one what you would get in 1985 on a TV of that era. In other words, your tapes will look like they were made and played on an 80's analog TV, minus the possibility of deterioration over time. But the good news is that you can at least revisit those old entries.
