Doesn't last long Best adapters

Device doesn't last long. My kids don't play Wii very often. It worked for the first few weeks they played. My kids played with other technology they had and went back to our Wii but it didn't work. They returned to play with their other stuff. I looked into the problem and found that the device itself is no good. Also found that there is no reset on the block. The HDMI cable is still good, but the device is unusable.
