Review on 🍼 Termichy Baby Formula Dispenser: Portable Container for Travel & Outdoor Activities with Scoop and Carry Handle - 8.8OZ Capacity by Ryan Brady

Good for traveling, but not for storage as it is not airtight

When my son was an infant, I supplemented breastfeeding with formula. Traveling and outings were a bit tricky, and I was always looking for ways to pack the formula. This time around, I’m determined to be better prepared. I originally ordered this formula dispenser thinking it was bigger. I had wanted a container that would hold a box of Holle formula, but this is too small to hold the entire box. Not a problem though as I’ll just use this for outings and for traveling. The design is good with the built-in spoon holder and the extra inner lid to keep contents in place. It is advertised as being airtight but it definitely is not. I filled the container with water, snapped it shut, and turned it on its side. The water leaked out. I’m a bit disappointed in this as formula needs to be stored properly to maintain freshness and to keep contaminants out. With the recent formula shortage in the US that arose from contaminated formula, we need to be more cautious in the handling of powder formula. As it is not airtight, I would only use this for short outings and not extended travel. Aside from the lack of being airtight, the container is made well. The plastic is rigid and didn’t emit any noxious smells. The handle will come in handy for carrying, and the included spoon is a nice touch, though I’ll be using the spoon that comes with the formula. Beyond use as a formula container, this will be great for packing snacks, once we are past the formula stage. At its current listing price of $13 with a 5% coupon, it would be priced reasonably if it was airtight. Being that it’s not, I would expect it to be in the $8 range.
