Our shower floor is made from 2" x 2" tiles with grout in between. A suction cup mat will not stick firmly to such a surface. However, this loofah rug works great. Two of these rugs almost cover our shower floor and give a feeling of great stability. After showering, we hang them on the shower safety rails to drain the water. Yes, it's annoying, but leaving it wet would encourage mold and mildew. We are very happy with these mats for any floor including those that can also accommodate suction cup mats. Incidentally, our shower drain is off-centre, but that's not a problem because the water flows through the entire surface of these rugs. Stick can be anywhere.
