I was wondering what could be wrong with a plain banana plug? I bought these because the wires are attached with a screw connection which ensures a secure fit. You're doing well enough. If you trust gravity connection, do it. Where it can be seen in the photo, the springy part of the connector is not connected to the main part. It can also rotate when connected to the network. This means that the quality of the communication depends on the weight of the cable. It also means that the connection can be momentarily lost if the cable moves. The connector shells are made of soft rubber and may come loose if you try to unplug the cable. I assumed they were made of hard plastic and bolted to the metal main body. nope I would put up with it if it was the only problem. I will return them.
