It was taken to replace the Canon A520, which was dying of old age, with a very limited budget. With the exception of the shortcomings indicated, it copes well with the role of a family camera. Not exactly a drawback, but you have to be careful when choosing a memory card (it works stably with SanDisck, other tested ones periodically "lose"). I cope with autofocus by aiming at a properly illuminated moving object at the same distance, which allows me to "deceive" the automation.
