Two lanterns were sent in a plastic envelope by mistake. Each flashlight comes with three AA batteries already installed. However, the cap on one of mine fell off and the batteries fell out from under the tape that was removed from the batteries. What I don't like is that the devices are not packaged properly for shipping. These are VERY CHEAP bulbs that I don't think will last long. In addition, the screw cap that holds the batteries in the flashlight can be easily removed. He kept falling on me.
