I bought 30 of these bulbs to replace all my halogen bulbs in various fixtures. They've been great so far and I've really liked their light, but I think it would be "optimistic" to consider them a replacement for the listed 60w (technically it says 40w, 50w, 60w). If you look at the description it clearly says 50 watts and that's probably more accurate as it's slightly brighter than the 40 watt bulbs I've replaced in most of my lights but not quite as bright as the 60 -Watt bulbs that were in some of my lamps. fixtures. Admittedly, even with halogen lamps there is a significant difference in light output between lamps with the same parameters. Regardless, they're bright enough for my use case, have good color, and use a lot less power, which in turn produces significantly more. Less heat, which was one of the main reasons for replacing halogen bulbs. That being said, they still get pretty hot if left out for a while, so I'm not sure how the plastic will hold up in an unvented case. Fortunately, none of the devices I use them in do. I'm also planning on installing a dimmer on some of my lights so maybe I'll post an update once that's done and I'll see how it works.
