Review on 🌿 Aimay King Size Duvet Cover Set: Colorful Leaves Pattern Design in 100% Pure Cotton, Zipper Closure, Ultra Soft and Comfy, Breathable - 3 Piece Bedding Set (104"x 90") by Latasha Pizzino

Have both "Leaf " patterns - still LOVE them a year later!

I have been a long time user of duvets and bedspreads and have always had trouble finding a stylish (modern, not flashy or ruffled) cotton bedspread; thick enough to be opaque, lay flat, and resist wear; but not so heavy that I lose the fluffiness of the pad. I want my blanket to "float" above me instead of crashing around me to make me feel like a mummy. I am SO HAPPY with this duvet cover - I didn't expect this level of quality for such a low price. It easily competes with cases I've bought 3-4+ times more expensive. I was specifically looking for something lightweight to brighten up the room, stylish enough to be the center of attention and this case is perfect. I feel relaxed and "uplifted" when I walk into a room. It looks just like the photo - colorful but not too garish or loud. I've included a few photos taken in natural light to give a better idea of the color of the background after reading feedback from someone who believes the background has a dominant "purple" hue . You can see the comparison with the "white index card" that I put on it in the photo - the background is delicate, very NEUTRAL "off-white" (not creamy, i.e. no yellowish off-white). The off-white color appears neither warm nor cold. Because it's so neutral, it seems able to pick up other colors of the room, or even colors coming through the window (for example, I once hung very neutral taupe curtains that *looked* like soft green that's in a certain room hangs a lot of green trees in front of the window). In my room with neutral cream walls, natural light, a dark wood bedroom set and no other light colors, the cover background looks as cream as you can imagine. see photo. It also turns into a nice soft green with a "striped" color texture. I couldn't be happier. Some washing/care info: I ordered a king size (posted measurements 90"L x 104"W) for my queen bed and am planning to tidy up the sides a bit (my duvet cover is "oversized". " - 90"L x 99"W - too big for the published 'king' size duvet cover HOWEVER - I washed the bedspread when it first arrived (see next paragraph for a great 'first wash method' which really softens the fabric) and I tumble dried them ( note the care instructions recommend NOT to use a dryer, but I don't have enough space to hang or dry anything this size!) The published measurements weren't quite accurate, or my bedspread sagged - but only WIDTH - so the dry measurements are now 90"L x 101"W, which is close enough to fit inside my duvet cover without having to resize. Check the measurements before washing as the cover is after the T rocking looks great - no ironing required, no masonry on the seams or even along the zipper. If anyone reading this is purchasing a king size cover I hope they can confirm if the unwashed material is actually 104 inches wide - this will confirm actual shrinkage if any so others can plan accordingly. Because of that little uncertainty, don't hesitate to buy this cover - it's a beautiful cover, I wholeheartedly recommend it, and for the price you can't beat it! Just check other reviews for information to help you find the right size if you have an existing insert you want to use. [As mentioned above, e, I strongly recommend using the "first wash" method that I've learned about from other reviewers of thin sheets and towels. to remove chemical coatings applied during production, making the cotton softer and more breathable. I've read that using this method can block the chemical coating on the first wash (first wash method: wash with 1 cup of baking soda instead of detergent, add 1-2 cups of vinegar to rinse, then repeat the cycle). Again, this time using half the amount of detergent you normally use and rinsing with plain water ALSO - NEVER use fabric softeners or dryer sheets as they just add another coating to the fibers which will also interfere with the original chemical removal. breathability and absorbency). Personally, I don't understand the chemical issue, but I do know that my sheets and towels are noticeably softer and absorb moisture better since I used this process on my first wash!] UPDATE - February 2021: Both patterns are now "sheets" " - "DOT Leaves Pattern" (soft green/blue "Leaves and Trees" described above) and "Colorful Leaves Pattern" (Warner background with colorful leaves). Both look great after multiple washes (and tumble drying). One of the photos shows 2 templates side by side for comparison. Both are great. In fact, I'm switching to "Scandinavian" style bedding (no top sheet; 2 extra size comforters) and have been searching everywhere for a pair of attractive/soft double bed sheets - so I'm going to buy 2 of these queen sized ones will change to double width. I don't want to miss out on the great look of the Aimay 'Leaf' duvet covers. I just can't find anything (at *any* price) that compares in style, comfort and quality! Apparently only the Colorful Leaves (21.2.) template is currently available. My personal favorite is the soft green/blue 'DOT Leaves', but you can't go wrong with either. I support the washing method described above - it ensures an incredible softness of the fabric that lasts a long time and also no longer creases. (NOTE TO SELLER: Can a lucky buyer request the return of the "DOT Leaves" pattern? . hoping to get something like this pattern as a gift, maybe even a replacement in case something happens to me!)
