This worked much better than the RIT I've used in the past. I used this emerald mixed with Bahamian Blue to dye a pair of light gray jeans turquoise. Please excuse my flat butt in these photos. I started the 30 day squat challenge IMMEDIATELY after seeing this photo. I used the sink and hot water then stirred with gloved hands for 15 minutes then came back every 10 minutes to stir again for a total of 1 hour dying. When I was done dying, I squeezed as much paint out of them as possible while they were still in the sink. I then quickly tossed them in the washing machine with no detergent for a better rinse. After that I washed again with detergent (I use Mrs. Meyers). Then I dried them in the dryer as usual. Was pretty good for $10 recycled CK jeans + $10 paint! You can smooth it out by carefully applying a new coat of paint. Or not. It's barely noticeable. Be sure to wash anything you dye separately for the next 3-4 cycles. They say you only have to make a few, but do you really want to take risks? I've had a few mishaps with garments that I thought had all washed out and stained other garments in the wash. But the more I color the better I get, and it's a lot more fun to find the exact shape and fabric you want to wear and change the color to your liking.
