I'm still deciding if they do what I wanted. They aren't very bright but might be ok for what I want. My son has two cats, one of which is in the hallway and I almost stepped on him earlier in the dark and wanted automatic lights to remind me to look outside and show me what was in front of me. As long as they work, except they don't glow until I'm next to them as I walk down the hall. I tried moving one of them (I have three packs) so that it was at the end of the hallway to see if it lighted up faster, but it still didn't light up until I was about 3 feet away. I think they should detect movement 10 feet away, but mine wasn't as sensitive. Some have also commented that the glue didn't work well and one of mine looked like this until I used an alcohol wipe to clean the wall surface and then the glue worked fine.
