I bought this combined monitor and keyboard stand to save space in a small apartment with a small desk. It does its job in a very attractive way and also allows me to fit even more of my gear onto my very small desk (laptop, peripherals and recording devices) leaving room for other things like writing! To top it off, the setup is really attractive and the clear acrylic stand looks a lot prettier than other metal or plastic alternatives. Sturdy enough to handle whatever I put on it (my widescreen monitor weighs around 15 pounds, no problem I guess). This was an afterthought, but I also didn't realize that elevating the monitor 4-5 inches above its base would be much better for my neck. It also allows me to open my laptop directly underneath so I have a dual screen. Installation (laptop below, widescreen monitor above). The downside is the price, it's more expensive than the plastic and metal alternatives but much more attractive, and you also get a keyboard stand.
